Discover the Andean Beer Route in Mendoza
An alternative to traditional circuits for tourists looking for new experiences. The Andean Beer Route invites you to visit Mendoza's craft breweries, taste their unique flavors and learn the secrets of their master brewers.
Mendoza, renowned for its wine, sun and mountains, now adds a new experience for travelers: the Andean Beer Route. This exclusive tourist product of the agency Vive Los Andes has established itself as an unmissable tour for curious tourists, both Argentine and foreign, who wish to combine traditional circuits with new adventures or simply explore the growing world of craft beer in the region.

Travelers from Brazil, Europe, the United States and different parts of Argentina have already experienced the unique flavors offered by this tour. The proposal invites visitors to visit the most outstanding craft breweries in Mendoza through a private tour. During the tour, visitors not only taste between 4 and 7 styles of beer, but also learn in depth about the production process and the history behind each brand, guided by their owners or master brewers.
"The tourist books a tour that can be through the city or the mountains of Mendoza. A car picks them up and takes them to visit two or three breweries. There, the owners or those in charge of production receive the visitors, explain the process and the history of their brand," explains Agustín Salomón, who has a degree in Tourism and is part of the Vive Los Andes Agency. "The atmosphere is very relaxed and the role of the hosts is fundamental to achieve a very positive experience."
To complement the tasting, each visit ends with a regional picada of cold cuts, cheeses and nuts at the factory itself, or with specially prepared tapas at the brewery bars.

The Andean Beer Route was born in early 2018 on the initiative of Eduardo Maccari, owner of the emblematic Jerome Beer, and the agency Vive Los Andes, with the aim of highlighting the work of hundreds of craft brewers in Mendoza.
Among the breweries that have been part of the circuit are the following Jerome (Potrerillos), Good Dog (Godoy Cruz), Chachingo Craft Beer (Maipú and Mendoza City), Denker (Blanco Encalada), Himmel (Tunuyán), Funky Barrel y Holmesamong others.

Vive Los Andes is aware of the potential of the sector. "Mendoza is undoubtedly wine, sun and mountains. That is why we want to add something new and different," Salomón adds. "In our route, we even make a combination where we visit wineries, craft breweries and distilleries. We also combine the visit to the breweries with previous walks in the mountains or with sailing trips on the Potrerillos Dam", an ideal option for those who are looking for things to do in Mendoza beyond the traditional.
