High Mountain Walk

The High Mountain tour in Mendoza is an excursion that takes you through the impressive Andes Mountains along the international route that connects Argentina and Chile. The road offers panoramic views, mountain scenery, and the chance to see historical and cultural sites.
Along the way you will find wonderful places such as:
Potrerillos: is a town located on the Andes mountain range. There you can enjoy the scenery of the Potrerillos reservoir, which covers an area of 1,500 hectares, 7 km long and almost 1.5 km wide.
Picheuta Bridge: It was built in stone and mortar in colonial times, commissioned by Ambrosio O'Higgins as a route to the Viceroyalty of the Río de la Plata. It acquired historical relevance when it was used by General San Martin as one of the routes to cross the Andes Mountains.
Uspallata Valley: is an area that divides the foothills from the high mountains and is nestled in the imposing Cordón del Plata, located between 1900 and 2500 meters above sea level.
Inca Bridge: is a protected natural area declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Its rock formation forms a natural bridge over the Las Cuevas River. Its geological, scenic and historical value allows us to appreciate its important cultural identity.
Cerro Aconcagua viewpoint: is the highest mountain in the Americas at 6960 meters above sea level.
Las Cuevas is the highest town in Mendoza at 3557 meters above sea level. It is a border area that borders Chile and allows access to the Cristo Redentor monument during the summer season.
